Dianne coming up!
Just worse it seems. Kay was in the living room reading something and I was working the computer. Then she brought in a banana which had been partially eaten but peelings still on. What is this she asked? I could not figure out what she meant. I broke off a little and ate it then said it is a banana. Now that is frightening. You hear of worst cases of dementia where they lose all ability to function. Is this the start? A little more conversation might have indicated what she really meant was because it was partially eaten she didn't know who it belonged to.
I can see where family and relatives are more than willing to put people in rest homes and get them off their hands. But for me I am more determined to take care of her as long as I can. She stood by me and our family and it is the least I can do in return.
