Great news

Great news.  They are looking into the program that is supposed to be able to reverse dementia.   Kay  was in the TV room.  With the others.  She does not watch TV,   She is at the stage where she wants to be with others it looks like.  I took her to give her the treats.  I got to talking to a trainee who is very interested in WW2.  I will get in touch with him later.  He wants a picture of us on the beach.  Finally someone interested. My grandchildren dont seem to be.  My attention was on him so much that Kay must have felt left out and headed out without a walker.  We got her to her room.  In the confusion she wound up with the truffle bag.  I don't know how many if any were eaten when my attention was diverted.  It seems though there were not many left.   She knows where I keep them.

My mother has suffered from dementia since 2008, having always had a mistrust of pharmacutical drugs, my mother decided not to take anything for her dementia. She managed independantly with our help until 2013 when she suffered a mini stroke, which made her confusion much worse. Unfortunately, she was admitted to hospital, where she remained for 3 months. It was a horrendous time, I realise now, nurses have little training to deal with anyone with dementia so my sister and I had to pay for someone to sit with her to ensure she was fed, kept hydrated and taken to the toilet to ensure her dignity whist we were at work. Her decline during the hospital stay was dramatic, to say the least, she was finally diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia and we were told we had a week to find her a care home or she would be discharged to a state one. To cut a long story short, mum has been in a private carehome for the last eighteen months, over the last few years I've searched the internet for anythign alternative that could help this horrendous disease. Mum is now at the stage where she can only shuffle, unco-ordinately, putting one foot on top of the other with the support of 2 carers, she stopped speaking 8 months ago, she cant find her mouth to eat and cant reach her nose to scratch it. She's confined to a reclining chair all day other than being walked to the toilet and to eat in the dining room. It has been a so upsetting, painful and an emotional time, I feel I have been grieving her loss throughout with no end in sight. Two months ago I came across a Canadian Natural Health Product, I'd looked into it 3 years ago, but reluctantly had to dismiss it as it wasnt available in the UK as it proved very very expensive to ship over. This product was just what I was looking for and so many people had written amazing stories about how it had given the 75% - 100% recovery from these awful chronic diseases including dementia. However, it has now finally come to the UK, it was so exciting. I immediately put mum on it 6 weeks ago and have watched her gradually improving. It's been a slow process, her walking has gradually been getting straighter, stronger and faster, she still has her good and bad days. She no longer steps one foot on top of the other when being walked. The best thing ever, was when I arrived yesturday, I was greeted by her chatting away, most of it was unintelligible but she would come out with sentances in response to questions and her voice was stronger! She has not spoken above a tiny whisper which can be heard, for 8 months! I started her on one packet for a few weeks then increased it to two packets going up to three soon. I am so happy to have at last finally found something that can help her. I'm not expecting miricles but I now know she wont end her life, in this awful way ! Please read up on this amazing natural product, it has had 40 years of medical research done on it with hundreds of research papers written about it. It's a whey protein powder called Immunocal that builds 'glutathione' a natural emzymne in the body that we lose as we age. This emzymne is responsible for detoxifying the body and keeping the immune system strong. I'm not able to put links in this post so please add the w's and take away the spaces, the UK link is: www.immunotec.com/debbie522281.prod I wish you all every bit of luck in keeping your wife well and clear of this awful disease. I know this will help her. Please feel free to contact me if you need any more information on it I'm more than happy to help if I can. Good Luck Debbie

Thank you for telling me. I will look into it. I am close enough to Canada to even drive up there if it is much cheaper there.
