Visit Kay

I[ I took a cab to see Kay today.  She was in the dining room used
In my coat
for other activities at that part of the day.  One of the care givers was offering up some information to agitate their minds.  Kay was snacking on a roll and sipping on what looked like a cup of remains of coffee.  I smelled it and if I smelled correctly it smelled like old coffee.  That is something I didn't know she drank now.  It creates such havoc with her Gertes (sic) disease.  After a little while I took her to our spot in the hall and I gave her a couple truffles and a graham cracker.  Later we went to her room as I was ready for some rest.  I got to sleep late and so I get tired in about 8 or 9 hours.  We stayed on the bed until I had to leave about an hour later.
When I leave her from her room she seems to take it well.  I waved to her and she waved back.  Only one thing bad about taking a cab is that I feel I should only go every other day to make it last longer.  With the shuttle I went every day.

It breaks my heart that you and Kay cannot be together day and night. It is sacrilegious that a married couple be separated at this important stage in life. Why can't there be nursing homes where couples can be together? My thoughts and prayers are with you both.
