Living without family;

 No visit to Kay today so a little news about what is going on around here.  There is a little old lady, I can say old because she is 95.  Still alert but how active I don't know because she is usually sitting when I see her at tht table.  I frequently stop and talk to her and tell her about my visit to see Kay.  She usually asks.  She and her husband owned a hotel at Westport WA just  across from the boat landing as far as I can tell.  The Holiday I think she said. She is very unhappy. She gets no visiters.  I think she has one daughter but she lives in San Diego.  There are a number of grandchildren but they don't visit. That is the difference between someone who was family centered and somone who struck out on their own and never set down roots.  They are better able to adapt to this kind of living.  They are able participate in the various activities because they have no famly ties to keep reminding them of their roots.  I know that because that is the way it is with me. I still miss family and family gatherings which I am apparently left  out of . I wont be able to get deeply involved until Kay dies or I get so blind I cant operate the computer and keep busy with personal things.
