New Year with Kay

Kay and Faith

 Came back from seeing Kay for the last time this year.  We never made a big deal of New Year.  Usually we went to bed at the normal time but woke up at midnight with all the racket of fireworks and McKnight up the block shooting off his shotgun once.  Nothing special tonight except I guess the facility is putting on a special dinner.  

Kay was in bed but awake and dressed.  They told me she had eaten breakfast and lunch.  I gave her a truffle then took her to the end where the iron furniture is and gave her the second truffle and a graham cracker which she ate. I am still weak so cant do much.  I opened the last package from Dianne and it was the red top to the  red pants I had opened yesterday.  I told the caregiver to dress her in the red outfit the next day she was on which will be Day after Tomorrow. It's a bright red which seems to be a favorite these days.  There is a back nurse here and he dresses in a red suit among others which I thought might not be a brilliant idea for if he goes outside the building in a red jump suit  it is close enough to jailhouse orange   it might get him into troube inspite of the prohbition of typecasting by the police. 

I stayed on the bed with Kay until it was time to go.  I made it home by 3 PM which is pretty good time for the shuttle.     Right now I am defrosting the reefer.  I feel pretty good but will continue on building up my strength by taking short walks up the hill.   I am amazed that I am walking at all as I am going on the results of  Cortosone shots 3 or 4 years ago.  If it gets too sore I give it a rest and I can do another hill.
