I had a good visit with Kay today. She was in the Community room and I immediately took her to her room to give her a truffle and to find her room. When I took her into the entrance way which goes to her room or to the left to someone else's room. She sort of hesitated but did go into her room correctly. But that is not the end. She still has to pick the right bed. I don't remember now if she did or perhaps I had to nudge her to her bed. I gave her a truffle and immediately we went outside into the hall for a short walk then back to the room for her to decide again. She picked the correct room again although it seems to me there was some hesitation. I got a jigsaw puzzle for us to put together in the activity room where they eat their meals. She didn't try to help much at first but when I found one that fit she approvingly smiled at me in appreciation of my accomplishment. At the end she did make some effort to find parts that fit. When we finished the puzzle we went back to her room and this time she went in the right direction without hesitation. Whether I made her decide on the correct bed I cant remember. All this is important as they there have decided to leave her on the third floor with the option of deciding later if necessary. In my opinion her fnding her own room is not the real reason the want to move her. I know that many there on the floor cant find their own room. The door to Kay's room is constantly being opened by residents. Sometimes just constantly. All the problems go with her to the basement if she should be moved there. Finding her room, is still a problem. As far as I am concerned it's a phony excuse to accomplish other goals and not just so Kay can find her room. Every problem on the third floor goes with her to the basement.
I bid Kay goodbye in her room and she took it well. She smiled and waved to me. It seems that if she is in the community room she doesn't want me to go. I don't like leaving her in the bedroom because yesterday she got out of bed where we were resting and went back to the a hall where the others were as if she was tired of being in bed and was only there to please me. So in the future I am not going to spend so much time on the bed to make sure she is not just staying there to please me.
It was a fairly short visit today because the shuttle was late in getting to the destination. I'm glad I wasn't paying cab fare as this driver took a route that was one and a half miles further than the shortest route. That would have boosted the fare up at least 4 or 5 dollars over the least cost if you go the shortest way.
I'm tired and what you see is what you get. No pictures again today.
