A new experience today

It took forever to get to my destination to see Kay today.  It was 2:30 before I got there but I had a real nice driver who called the Shuttle dispatcher and arranged a later pickup so I had nearly an hour and a half with her.  I found her in the wrong bed again.  The one on the left whereas she goes to the right to get to her bed.  I gave her a couple  truffles as I didn't have anything else for her to eat.  She was in a bad mood indicated by her screaming at the caregiver when he tried to take her to the bathroom to check her out.  I thought she needed cleaning  up.  In this case there was a woman care giver with him.  There are two when a resident is given a shower because sometimes they resist quite strongly. I had to encourage her to go with the caregiver to the bathroom.  I am not at all happy with men doing the personal care of the women especially Kay.

Kay loves to just be with me.  I love to   be near her to make her calm and relaxed.  While we were there a couple came in and the first woman said that Kay was in the other woman's bed.  Besides this she claimed the room belonged to the woman.  This was a new experience for me as I had never had any of the other people there make that kind of a claim.  Shortly after I told the lead woman that it was not her friends bed she turned around and left.  Possibly because  recognized me as I  see her every day.  I never did see the woman who thought the bed Kay was in was hers as she was behind the door.  I probably knew the other woman also but I don't see her so I don't know. You can see what the caregivers there have to contend with.  So Kay is really no different that most of the people there.  People who have personal care 24 hours a day are very fortunate.  The cost would be horrendous to give 24 hour personal care.

Finally it came time for me to leave and when I got downstairs the shuttle was just arriving.
