I went to see Kay today and wanted to speak to Iris the person who manages the patients.   I wanted to get started right away on  teaching which was her bed and bedroom.  that will be the hard part.  Teaching her which is her bedroom.  All the doors look about the same.  I put a bag of truffles on her bed.  Then take her out into the hall then bring her back and she finds the truffles on the bed.  I did that 4 times one time was a graham cracker.  The last two times   she turned into her bedroom correctly.   The first time she kinda hesitated but the 4th time she went right in  I did that about 5 times although that is more than she normally gets.  I will do this about 4 times.  3 with truffles and We were quite active because we atteded the information meeting in the converted dining room to activity.  Tomorrow I talk to the person who  will decide if she moves or not.

In the medroom a lady came in somewhat agitated needing some med proceedure done.  She asked the male LPN to do it but he told her he would not be doing it but that xx would do it after she finished with the people with diabetes which could take some time.  They got into the shouting match and I suppose she might have been in pain.  that is the problem with this guy I don't think he has a concern for people here who might be in pain.  He is short tempered with them which I don't think he should do but in any case may have other serious problems otherwise they would not be here.  When I first came here I could see he was not doing the b/g test according to the makers instructions but he said he learned that 25 years ago.  As if nothing has been learned since he was in school.  As far as the lady above is concerned the other LPN may have had the duty to provide what ever she needed and it was not his job.  But if someone is in pain he should have done the job for the woman. She had to wait about 20 minutes to see the nurse.  As far as I am concerned he should not be let next to a resident.  He is too smarty pants to be with patients.
