Hilary and Reams come to Visit Kay

Before I tell what happened today with Kay I am very concerned the leaders of our country are trying to start a war with Russia.  If  you don't want war you had better contact your politician and get him working to stop this slide to war.  I am 92 and don't have much of a future. You may have a future so if you want to insure it you had better do what you can to stop the madness in DC by the so called learders of this country.

Two friends came today and took me over to see Kay.  We went to the OCB and Kay  enjoyed herself immensly.  I can tell when she is enjoying herself as she seems to become able to communicate with others.  When things are just so so she will not try to say much  When she is having a good time she will try and does converse but with difficulty of course.  She can express what is on her mind to a certain extent or ask a question.  Kay ate everything we gave her.
She had nothing to eat since breakfast so she was somewhat hungry and this indicated how she would eat at noon if given something to eat that she liked  It's too bad we are where we are as I am convinced that if we had not moved I could have kept taking care of her with the help of COPES.   I would be with her and not apart.  We now have all the information about her Endoscopy to give Cascade.  Hopefully they can adjust her medication to keep her from going further into Gerdes disease again.

Visit Kay with Hilary

Edmonds WA

I've missed a couple days.  Yesterday a friend Hilary came over and took me to see Kay.  We went to the Krispy Kreme for a donut as she likes them.  Then as  I felt a donut was not a good lunch I decided to upgrade to something at MacDonald's if we could find one. even MacDonald's is health food compared to Krispy Kreme.  Before finding a MacDonald's we saw the entrance to the Mall and decided to check out the Food Court.  Lo and Behold there was a MacDonald's, but unfortunately  for MacDonald's there was also a Chinese wok restaurant and we decided on that. So  we got some noodles and other Chinese goodies. Such a  welcome change from Cascade Park Vista and it's bland tasteless menu.  I have no idea why institutions feel a tasteless unappetising dish is also healthy.  But as far as I am concerned it's goodbye Krispy Kreme and it's sugary diabetic creating donut.  It has seen the last of us. There was enough left over for me to have dinner in my room AND a snack later.  As always Kay appreciated the outing.

Kay knows she has problems

Kay wrote a note the other day and Hilary found it and showed it to me.  She wrote it on a paper towel  She asked  who am I? What is my name? and several other questions like this. It really shocked Hilary it seems; This something Kay could not verbally6 ask.  But apparently she could put it down on paper.  She tried to answer some of the questions on the paper like her name and some others.  But most she did not answer.  But it shows she knows she has a big problem. Sad....
