I made a mistake today and almost missed my bus to see Kay. Most of you might be on a regular work schedule and have to refer to what day of the week it is. Those of us who are not on a work schedule and also retired do not necessarily keep checking what day of the week it is. That is essentially my condition so when I got up today and was considering what day it was I miscalculated and decided it was Thursday. I had changed pick up time for my shuttle as I was invited to Kay's place for what is called a Formal Dinner. Dinner is of course about 5 pm and I changed my bus schedule accordingly. Today I didn't think much about it but was sort of thinking it was Thursday. The day of the dinner I had changed my schedule and cancelled my regular pickup. Then promptly forgot about the noon pickup until a little after one PM the Caregiver rushed in and told me the bus was there to pick me up. From then on there was the confusion of which day it is with what bus they were talking about. Until someone told me it was Wednesday which clarified the matter instantly. So I managed to get the bus after all even though it had other passngers which made my arrival late. Short visit and no adequate supplies for a treat for Kay other than part of a Peanut butter and Jelly sandwich which I made yesterday to eat in case my b/g went low. We sat outside the front door where everyone comes by when entering and I noticed that Kay seemed to recognize everyone who came in. The time was at shift change so there were quite a few. She waved to each of them and smiled as they went in. We went back in and in a few minutes I had to return home. The bus was a little early so that shortened the visit even further than the late arrival.
I was going to go see Midnite Solar Friday on the Sounder bus part of the Sounder train. No way! I would be on the bus probably six hours to make the trip. Going up and back the 60 miles or so on the train would not work either.
Seeing Robin and Bob will have to wait. See you
