May 8 Kay and end of WW2

A little different visit today. I was invited to  one of their formal dinners. So  I put on my one dress jacket and tie and changed my scheduled visit time to 5 pm.  Kay was pretty good.  She hardly ever says much but I think she enjoyed the activity. She always expresses herself in other loving ways .  The people there really like to dance compared to the people here at an assisted living facility for the handicapped.  Being handicapped mentally doesn't seem to inhibit their desire to dance when they hear the music.  The same music here never makes anyone want to get up and dance. At least if it does they do not do it. This event had a Hawaiian theme but the guy only played 3 or 4 real Hawaiian selections. His performance was adequate in other respects. Too loud though. Kay was last eating of course but she did seem to eat a fair amount of food.
May 8 folks.  This day in 1945 I was in a Replacement Depot in Worms Germany waiting for an assignment to a line outfit. I and the others in my tent had our pictures taken as a group but over the years it got lost. I am really sorry about that.  Folks, remember there are 70,000 still missing from WW2.  More than were killed in either the Korean, or Viet Nam wars. There were as many lies to get us into WW2 as there were for Iraq and Afghanistan. For every one of the 1,000 days the US was in that ferocious war there were 800 slaughtered or wounded.  In 10
days there were almost as many killed alone as were killed in 10 years of war in Iraq and Afghanistan. That's a lot for every day of war.
