Tuesday visit and Cascade Vista visits me

I made the best time to see Kay today.  She was in the Community room awake and when she saw me she smiled in reccognition.  I immediately took her to the iron chairs and table in the hall where I gave her 3 truffles.  After that I gave her two or three graham crackers which she kept eating on most of the time I was there.  To me that indicated she was hungry.   I mentioned her losing 20 pounds while there so she got the scales to weigh her.  She weighed 94 but she also had lots of clothes on.  That is a little more than the 89 she weighed before.  I went for a walk in the hall with her. 5 times around the building hall.  Then I took her back to her room and we watched TV for a little while.  I had taken so long with her at the tables and walking the halls that we didn't have a long time watching TV.  Then I got a fairly on time shuttle and came  home.  I was home by 3.

From her window

I checked my b/g last night and it was about 200.  I decided to take a walk in spite of the lat hour.  I went downstairs and of course the doors are locked so looked up the nurse and asked to be let out.  She was decidedly against that because I if somethinghappeed to me Cascade Vista would get into trouble.  Not me in trouble Cascade Vista!  She obviously didn't think of how it sounded but that is what it really is all about.  Many of the rules have to do with keeping Cascade free of trouble with insurance people and lawyers.  She was really upset with me for wanting out to walk off  b/g.  But she said this was not a jail so I could go.  But she was going to write up a report which bothered me not a wit. I could not care less.  I got a visit from the head nurse just now  apparently sent by the head guy to caution me about all the dangers of going out on my own.  This and that might happen to me.

Sharing a walker
It's really painful to see her looking out the window knowing she will never be able to enjoy being there.  If my plans work out I will be able to  see her much more often and in that respect bring back what she is now missing.  That is the downside of making her video which reminds me of what she had been.
