Long wait for bus to see Kay

Wednesday before Thanksgiving

I had to wait for 40 minutes for the shuttle so that put me late there to see Kay.  I made my stay to within 5 minutes of the scheduled pickup time so naturally it was 30 minutes late picking me up.  He made up for it a little by taking me directly home and postponing the pickup of the next person.  He was ahead of time to  pick him up anyway.

Kay was with a caregiver without slippers coming down the hall when I got off the elevator.  I immediately took her to the end o the hall where the chairs and iron table was.  I gave her a couple truffles and when she had finished them I gave her a couple graham crackers.  They are harder for her to eat because she normally does not wear lower platesf. Even with the late pickup  I had almost an hour with her.  Not enough for us to do anything like puzzles.  There would be less than a half hour after she finished eating the goodies I brought. I found the slippers she has and had her put them on.  She has another slipper missing for several days.  So she is down to one pair.  The other ones are very cute and I like them.  The slippers she is using now are soft and very warm.  But that is all she has. 5 minutes before the scheduled shuttle arrival time I told her goodbye and left.  Tonight at dinner to those who aske about her I showed a few pictures to them of her. Being married 72 years makes an impression.
