The U.S. Constitution says the government is to provide for the general welfare.  So what is the "General Welfare? Is it just roads, traffic lights, wedding licenses?  Or does it include taking some of the wealth of some and giving it to the destitute so they wont starve?   When I was young, mother took from the little earnings of the kids who might be making a  few bucks for all of our benefits.  If you lived in the family you were expected to contribute something.  You didn't question this.  To me it looks like government is an extension of the family organization.  If you think that the role of government is to provide you with the means of making more money you think therefore that what is yours is yours and to heck with those who cant provide for themselves.  You benefit but do not expect to contribute back to the family.  You are a part of this big family and not responsible for anything else but your own comfort.  That is the Limbaugh style. I don't think it is that simple.
How much to take?  That's another question.
