Kay got up this morning very confused. Apparently she had been dreaming something about her mom and dad. I couldn't understand what she was trying to tell me. Even when she is completely awake she cant get out what she wants to tell you. Later I got her an egg in milk toast but I don't think she ate more than a bite of the toast and egg. Before that she had eaten one soda cracker. This means when she gets up later she will eat and snack on things that cause her b/g to go up. I don't think she is necessarily diabetic but eats things that keep here b/g elevated. Her kidney function GFI was down probably because of her constant elevated b/g. So regardless of ones diabetic condition constant elevated b/g will create the same conditions as if you were diabetic.
I had the Dr, get a A1C test which turned out 6.2. That is higher than mine. The doctor said this was not the time to medicate which I agree. As Kay can not manage here own diabetic medicine there is no way for a doctor to do it., They don't want to begin so called treating diabetes until the a1c gets up over 7 and their prescription will not cause the patient to go into a hypoglycemic condition.
