We went to Fred Meyer Deli

There were several sad things with Kay today but right now the thing I remember was after we got home from Fred Meyer. I went back to the car to get some fruit and when I got back she was in the hall outside the bedroom door but asked me do I go in here?  That really surprised me.  I suppose this is what you have to look for to gauge the advancement of her condition. Oh yes, Last night we were at the dinner table and I had forgotten to bring napkins for us. I asked her to go to the kitchen right adjoining the living room and get a napkin.  She came back with a banana. This what you want she asked?  I tried 2 or 3 times for her to bring us a paper towel which is what we usually use. Eventually she brought back a hand towel which  I settled for. Unless I can point to something asking something like the above does not work.  In a few days we will go to a doctor for an evaluation but vitamin B deficiency doesn't work very often.  In rare cases. But very rare. She was in the hospital several months ago for anemia which is one of the symptoms of B12 deficiency.  Doctors could not find why she was anemic.   I asked about diet but what do patients know?  A short time later.  I wanted to go out to the patio to have a dish of ice cream with her but in deference to modesty I told her I wanted to find my short pants.  After looking for them for a few moments she then pointed to them and said is that what you want? Strange.  She remembered what I wanted and found them.
Take a look at Bills war. Virginia Sheldon created a story of his service with the 39th FA in WW2. Find it at Four years in the 3rd Inf in WW2
