Kay takes a shower -- unwillingly

Good trip to see Kay today. The shuttle was quick both ways.   I got there she was just finished getting dressed by  a caregiver.  Kay grabbed me and said "get me out of here."  If you have been reading this blog you know she does not ordinarily talk.  But she was distraught. The caregiver said Kay wanted to get away from her. Kay had just finished a shower and she does not take kindly to showers.  Sometimes she does but some times she will resist.  It takes two to do the job sometimes but today there was only one there at the moment.  I had suggested to them before to give her a sponge bath if she would  not sit still for a shower.  I don't know if they tried that and I forgot to ask. I I don't think they care that much what you think.   

The caregiver finished combing her hair and I took her down the hall and gave her the treats.  She seemed pretty hungry but  I only gave her a couple truffles and part of a sort of soggy graham cracker. After that I took her to the dining/activity room and we sat there for a while then I took her to her room where I looked into the hookup of her TV and DVD player. Then it was a quick trip back to my place. 

I believe after all the talk about her food I think she gets the same old stuff she was getting before.  Bland and tasteless. Tell you anything to mollify you and to get rid of you.  You will leave and then they go back to their old style. You wont be around to know.  But I am around and I know. The only thing that keeps her weight  up is the fact that they took her off the puree diet and she will eat the current stuff to a certain extent.  In a menu  it sounds great  but when eating it forget it. Over the years I have made a lot of egg salad.  Yesterday I got an egg salad sandwich that was totally terrible.   Asked the server if they used a recipe and she said no. The cook made it up.  I told her to have him come to me and I would give him one.  I am pretty sure the eggs are not fresh eggs.  And what they are using for eggs does not have any flavor.  There was not much else than Mayo.  So with tasteless eggs and just mayo mainly it was a sandwich I could not eat. I went across the street to the tavern a couple days ago and got some good fish and chips but got charged double for the small beer so I really don't want to go there because of the overcharge.
