A busy day today

Tom came about 10 30 with supplies.  We called Cascade and asked them to have Kay ready and to put a bra on her.  She had been running low on pants because they seem to disappear over a period of time so they brought some new ones.  We didn't know what size but assumed probably small so they brought small and medium. Small was plenty big so we sent the medium back to Costco.

We all went to Old Country Buffet and Kay enjoyed what she ate immensely.  Why cant this place serve  food that tastes good?  Most of what is served is brought in by Food Services of America.  I am sure the people here tell them what to bring.  I had a couple ears of corn brought by the guy across the table from me.  I cooked them in the Mic and took them down and gave them to him and another lady at the table. It is some sort of a hassle because we have no plates or other utensils except for silverware.   I did not know how many would show up  as sometimes some do not show up at some meals.  But this time everyone was there so  I gave Alma and Paul each one corn telling them  I would go to my room and cook one there.  I also bring butter because there would not be any as it was before our meal. Besides they have gone to a substitute and  who wants anything butter on corn on the cob. I had ordered egg salad sandwich because as a holiday the menu would be slim.  When it got to the table I found that even the egg salad was tasteless.  I have been complaining about how tasteless the food is here.  Any of you who like to eat tasty food will prepare tasty food for yourself.  If you eat out and even at McDonalds you get something tasty.  So you know what tasty tastes like. How they do  it I don't know. When I make egg salad I start with egg, salad dressing, a little garlic, pepper, even a little vinegar and onion   Perhaps even a little mustard. You've eaten egg salad hundreds ot times over the years at potlucks, church socials, family gatherings restaurants and where ever.    You know what it takes.  So how does this outfit manage to make a tasteless egg salad?  OK well,  I came back to my room expecting to cook an ear of corn but found that I didn't have any more to cook.  Oh well,  Tom brought plenty of other things to eat.

Kay seemed less able to comprehend us when we tried to tell her where to get a hold of the walker, or where to go.  She also had to be helped up from a sitting position.  However this may not be a new condition. When we brought her back to go home she seemed so helpless and un-comphending.  We brought her back and left her in the TV room.  Too many things going on at once makes her more confused I think.  We were in the TV room, Tom and Peg were there.  Others were also in the room.  Talking was going on. People were moving about.  When I leave her in her room it is only she and I when I tell her goodbye. So she knows I am leaving and I will be back tomorrow. She understands enough to wave to me as I leave.
