today's visit

 Going both ways to see Kay today was good.  When I got there she was in the hall walking holding the railing.  When she saw me she immediately smiled as she always does hugged and kissed me.  I took her back to her room sharing my walker.  When we enter the entrance to her room she hesitated in such a manner I knew she did not know which was  her room.  This was a disappointment to me because she has been taking the right direction for a number of days.  To not know which was her room is disappointing but I didn't expect her to learn this immediately.  Since my new effort to teach her seemed to be working maybe it wasn't making as progress as I thought it was.  I am used to disappointments and this is another disappointment  all be it a vitally important one. I will keep working on it.  

Thinking back over Kay's decision of which way to go may not be as bad as I thought.  When she stopped she was obviously trying to decide which way she should go.  right there was an improvement.  Before she might have just went the wrong direction without thinking.  So maybe she has learned that there is a right and a wrong way.  Just stopping to decide shows she may be making progress. I feel better now. 

We lay on her bed until it was time to go. She ept kissing and hugging me.   She did not seem to object to  my leaving but she got up to go with me into the hall kissing and hugging me whenever possible.  However when I had to get into the elevator to leave she took it OK and waved to me.  

I finally finished the DVD I have been working on for a couple months and am now trying to make up a list of people to send it to. You will probably wonder how anyone could spend a couple monts on this DVD.  I added an hour of home movies with love songs by Englebert Humperdink,  Tom Jones, and other famous singers.  All in keeping with the flavor of the Phantom piece.  It will be good for just listening or watching too if you like home movies.  

My recent computer crash wiped out all my recent video and still pictures I had collected of Kay prior to the crash.   So I am trying to rebuild my collection.
