Pneumonia

 No visit to Kay today.  In fact  I will have to cancel trips for the forseeable future. I've been talking about how miserable I feel.  I made a quick trip to a Dr. today and they think  I have pneumonia.  So Kay will be alone and feel the   the effects of being so isolated.  The last time I missed several days at once she stopped eating.  Reason I dont know.  I brought with me a prescription for anti-biotics.  I want to get on them ASAP.the nurse faxed the request sometime  before 5 but I was pretty sure they were not interested enough to ask for a special delivery.  So I have to wait until today. I could have brought them home with me from the doctors office.  But the rules here don't permit it I don't think.  All about money, not health of the resident.  I want to start this morning and if I don't get them I will write the state complaining that  Cascade Vista withheld my anti-biotics because it was inconvenient for them to administer in a timely manner.  I feel fairly good after a good nights sleep but that doesn't last long. It's amazing how so many people here have no concept about their health and body. Didn't they ever go to a doctor in the previous 60 or 70 years and learned nothing? These with diabetes have such  an unconcern when their diabetes is raging  out of control.They may have a festering sore on the foot which could develop into an amputation.  But they go to the LPN and expect medicine to fix their eating disorder. 
This morning I am going to ask they bring my breakfast to the room.  I wont have to look at the guy on my right  gulp his food down.  He will stuff another bite into his  mouth to force what he just put in  He can eat a large egg in two bites.  He almost always eats everything they give him. I have never before seen anyone eat like he does.  No one at the table can talk to him he is such a grouch.  Stay tuned as I must rest.

Kay a few days ago
