I got the full treatment today from the people who work here. Shows what they really think of you. Their feeling is that they know best. I have been warned for decades that just because you feel better with the antibiotics don't forget you are still sick. Don't overdo it and cause a reaction. I am on my third day of antibiotics. Only this afternoon have I begin to feel like I am gaining strength. Whether it is from the pills or because I have begun an exercise program. The nurses believes that if you don't have a fever you are not sick. In other words he decides when you are sick not you So he met me doing some walking to gain strength and told me I should go to the med room and dining room. So this has turned into a very unpleasant situation. I think the exercise I am doing now is good but I don't think I should begin treating myself as if I am all over it. If I do the wrong thing I would be worse off than at the beginning of treatment. I cant get much worse and still be able to stand.
It's a mystery to me how the management here allows this attitude to develop. These people get paid whether I eat in my apartment or in the dining room. Of course there s no chance to see Kay. I believe what is going on is contrary to Government laws that protects old people in rest homes. Here they have committee's but they don't seem to accomplish much.
