Cornbread on the menu

Maybe, just maybe I have turned the corner.  Up to an hour ago I didn't even want to sit at the computer.  A while ago I needed to see if my bd dvd player was hooked up and ready to play.  In doing so I had to find batteries for the remote as it was empty then I had trouble finding batteries and had to steal one from my b/p meter to check it out.  Then I  had to see if it was connected to power and it wasn't  now  I  will just bag the effort because my eyes are so bad lt is had to see anything.  I will just find a regular DVD and play that.  Most likely it will be Oh What a Lovely War  I've seen it 20 or 30 times but it has lots of old WW1 songs so I can appreciate the music.

Tom says he is coming on Friday to see Kay and if I continue to improve and am not contagious I will ask him to take me too.  I asked him to get a package of cornbread and make a pan.  I told him he could even do it as it was so simple.  I hope he uses a cast iron pan.  Peggy has a bad hand and this is a simple job he should do it. Kay also likes cornbread so she could have a piece.  Now and then they serve so called corn muffins but they are so lousy I cant eat them.  I dont know why here they seem to think that corn bread has enough sugar to taste like cake and mostly flour.  Little corn meal. They don't make them here they buy them from a supplier.  Hoping I continue to improve so I can go see Kay Friday
