It only took me about 3 1/2 hours to go see Kay. Late picking me up then some deliveries. Kay was awake in the community room with about 5 or 6 others. No conversation was going on as they are not able to converse without help from someone who does not have dementia. They do like to talk back when someone starts and I always try a little chit chat. I took Kay to her room and gave her a toffee. I was too tired to do anything. I got only about 6 hours sleep wihich is not enough to keep me from getting tired during the day. Getting out and moving around helps a lot. I cant see where Kay is any worse off that some of the people here so I wrote an email to the Community Relations and Admissions director asking him if Kay and I couldn't be put together somewhere. Some here are terribly handicapped and I don't think Kay is any worse than they,,. He can only say no. After about 45 to 50 minutes I went out and waited for the shuttle. It was late and then had a pickup and delivery which didn't take a long time but I still only got home at 4:10.
