Kay

 I found Kay in her room awake.  I put her slippers on her and we walked to the truffle location.  When I passed by the activity room it had not been made up for a  meeting and sure enough there was no meeting.  It seems that now there are more people going to active day they are not holding meetings in the activity room.  So as it was after 10 anyway we went back to her room for the remainder of my visit.

Christmas Party at Cascade Gardens

I made it to see Kay in only an hour and 10 minutes from 12:30 pickup time.  I have started going back to my room instead of waiting all this time in the lobby .  I got Kay up and dressed.  She had not had either breakfast or lunch so I knew she would be hungry.  I gave her what I had then we went back to her room and we waited a few minutes then went down to the /company Christmas party.  There I learned something about her eating habits.  I thought she could eat solids but now I am not sure.  They have her on puree but I thought it was mainly because she could not chew the food properly because she had no lower teeth.  She eats my truffles and crackers ok but it was a larger amount I am not sure. She began chocking on some solid stuff at the party and I was glad to get her over it with no serious after effects. But we still have the weight loss to contend with.  She received a beautiful soft shawl, and two other top clothing items from Old Navy given by the Salvation Army.  Looks like to me they are quite expensive. But I am no expert.  I talked to the brass of the company about   Kay going to the Active Day program.  I explained to the top guy that I felt over 5 hours in the program was too long for Kay to be active without rest. He seemed to accept that but when  I got back to Vista a guy from Active Day came in and said Kay had been scheduled to come, I cant remember the day, even after I had told them a couple days ago I did not want her going when she would be up for over 6 hours without rest. Of  course then this guy  tries to come up with  that they several others at that age group and they get along just fine. I could see last time that Kay was totally exhausted from being up so long. I explained to the executives that I really appreciated the effort they went to to get her on the program but without a rest break I did not think Kay was up to it. We will see. They don't do anything in Active Day that cant be done at the Gardens.

I took Kay back to her room and stayed with her past time for the shuttle to come with instructions to call me when it came.  I figured I could just as well stay with Kay then come down when I was notified it had arrived.
