Boy Scouts has a problem

Boy Scouts has a big problem.  I was involved in the Boy Scouts in almost every position from organizing a troop (318) to den mother in the cub scouts.  Our daughter was a Brownie before that.   I was never a Boy Scout when I was growing up.  I am a firm believer that it is better to take your own kid with you and go camping but if that is not possible Boy scouts is the next best thing.  Being 92 I have also had some experience with pedophiles and homosexuals.  One thing I learned is that pedophiles and Homosexuals exist by recruiting. They would die out if they could not recruit.  Due to the make up of the Boy Scouts it is a magnet for Homosexuals and pedophiles. It is not the first organization to have this problem.  The secret files of the Boy Scouts shows that it is a magnet for pedophiles and homosexuals. Now that the secret is out it may be that it would be possible to allow pedophiles and gays in positions in the Boy Scouts because they can now be prosecuted because the Boy Scouts  no longer have that reputation to protect. I still think that it would be best to stand by their principals and keep the Scouts free of pedophiles and homosexuals. If the Boy Scouts fails it fails. It fails with it's honor intact.
