Outrageous nonsense on TV news

On the two networks I watched this evening was the most outrageous nonsense about diabetes. They were all atwitter about how the operation to restrict the size of the stomach cured diabetes. It does nothing of the sort. They said within just a short time they were no longer diabetic. They were cured. Just like that. Actually they were never diabetic in the first place. You are diabetic when your pancreas stops producing insulin. In these cases the pancreas had never stopped it just had been overwhelmed with the carbohydrates in the diet. If you eat enough carbohydrates all the time your blood sugar will be high all the time just like a diabetic. The results are the same as if you are diabetic. Stop eating so many carbs and your blood sugar returns to norma which is what happened to the people who had the operation to restrict the size of the stomach. But it has nothing to do with diabetics who are actually diabetic. It doesn't cure anything but the appetite.
