A new situation to meet with Kay today. Kay started asking me today to help her. Or keep asking me to stay with her and not to leave her. Nothing I said could get her to convey to me what she wanted. I would ask her. She could not get it out. Of course I would help what did she want. I'd ask her if she hurt. Or ask her where she hurt. None would get an answer that would help. Similar situations have happened previously so I hoped eventually she would get over it. Even though I stayed beside her she kept asking me to not leave her. No matter what I said she continually kept asking me to stay or help her. Eventually she seemed to calm down and I went in to get dinner. I could just see her in a warehouse with 6 or 8 other patients watched over by one attendant not able to convey she needed attention. Sitting there in misery. Helpless. A really hearbreaking situation but if I am not able to do anything about it all I can do is put it out of my mind. Do what I can and go on with doing what I can to make her life easy as long as I can.
