Accurate Diabetic blood testing

I have found a sure to get an accurate b/g test.  I've never felt that  I could be sure of the results I was getting.  If the drop was too little the result might be way off.  But if I change my methodology a little I get the same results in a second test.  If you have stuck yourself and don't want to stuck yourself again because the drop is smaller than you want just keep the strip up against the drop for two or three seconds being careful to have the drop cover the end of the strip where the blood enters the strip.  That will make sure the blood is up against the sensing element inside the meter.  I have checked this a number of times and always got the same answer within 2 or 3 numbers. Sometimes exactly the same. Meter manufacturers only guarantee 20 percent  accuracy   which is almost useless. If you had a reading of 60 mg and you were actually 20 percent lower you might be headed for trouble.  With this method you are sure of the reading you get. So develop a habit of keeping the strip in the blood for 2 or 3 seconds to make sure it is an accurate test. If anyone wants to confrm or deny it try it out and let me know.
