I have been able to figure out what was happening to me during the eyelid lift when I went blind. During the surgery in addition to incredible noise going on I was also experiencing light. No doubt I could see but it was varying depending upon if she was obstructing the light behind her or perhaps her light shining into my eye, moving my eyelid around as she worked on it. . But no doubt I was seeing. None of it was in focus. Sort of a light show. So if you combine the light show and the incredible racket of the sound it was a horrifying experience.
I haven't heard from anyone today yet but expect calls in the future.
