I took Kay to Fred Meyer as usual but as we came to the parking place in front of the beauty shop she said she had not been there and didn't recognize where she was. We had been here many times. There was another place she didn't recognize either but I forget what it was. Somewhere we had been many times. They finally let us know that Leoma, my sister, will have her funeral next Sunday on the 29th. As Kay has no picture ID that doesn't allow her to fly I think we will just drive. boB has offered to drive us. You don't think freedoms have been denied? Think again. We are driving to Spokane WA. I had arranged a visit with Kay's cousin Virginia Sheldon on Wednesday but had to cancel that. We will come back and in a couple days later visit her. Kay wandered in and I had a decision to make. She can come in without my knowing it. I only know it because I can feel her breath on my neck. I don't see out of my left eye and the door is on my left. I decided to tell her although when I told her about her brother Don dying she took it pretty hard. But she took this very well and I am glad I did. She asked several times taking it all in so as make sure she understood. I'll see if she remembers which I doubt.
Take a look at Bills war. Virginia Sheldon created a story of his service with the 39th FA in WW2. Find it at Four years in the 3rd Inf in WW2
