Editing family pictures officially ends.

Yesterday I went over the stack of DVD's I have hanging around and sorted them into stacks for each child and for me.  As soon as I can I intend to give them out and am done with trying to organize something I have been working on for a couple years.  I could work on them for another 88 years but I am tired of it. A few months ago one of my backup drives crashed and I lost the thousands on it. I may have them backed up in other locations but things are in such a mess I am not sure where they would be. I will be working on creating movies from the movie collection which I transferred from Video tape to DVD.  I had previously transferred what film I had to video tape.  Some of the 8mm was particularly bad as even when I transferred it it was old and faded.

Did you know that files on a computer can fade just like a picture?  I look at thumbnails of files to select a picture to manipulate or edit. Some of them from Picasa are real faded.  However the actual picture file of ok. Strange.

Take a look at Bills war. Virginia Sheldon created a story of his service with the 39th FA in WW2. Find it at Four years in the 3rd Inf in WW2
