Source of Meals on Wheels

Why do makers of TV dinners and other prepared products think that if it is sweet it tastes good? Almost every thing bought at the Fred Meyer deli has sugar in it. Tastes terrible to those who do not like sweet things. Meals on Wheels is the same. Meals on Wheels is managed by a great crew of volunteers. They spend lots of their time and their own money to feed seniors and other handicapped people who would have a hard time getting around to do it for themselves. I can not say enough for the volunteers. But a lot of what they deliver is ruined by sugar in it. Made worse because they don't put salt either which is probably necessary they don't. But the sickening sweet sugar and other sugar products makes them impossible to eat. I got a breakfast burrito which I could not eat because it was so sweet. Remember they keep complaining that diabetes in increasing by leaps and bounds. Well, this doesn't help.

Meals on Wheels negotiate contracts with various suppliers and at the moment one of them happens to be the Washington State Penitentiary. I have no quarrel with this and think it is good to give these people something to do. They also do not have any say in the receipt of course. But it is a shame that the people eating these meals have to eat salt-less and too much sugar tasteless meals. Especially when the volunteers spend so much time and money to deliver these meals. You can order a kosher meal so I wonder if it isn't possible to provide tasty meals with salt in it?
Have a nice day.

New feature in the next page. Occasional videos will be uploaded. This first one is of bad driving. Really bad driving captured by a dashboard camcorder.
I use one all the time.
Take a look at Bills war. Virginia Sheldon created a story of his service with the 39th FA in WW2. Find it at Four years in the 3rd Inf in WW2
