Kay seems to be continuing to improve.

Kay seems to continue to improve although she has times of lots of pain.  There was another development that was very upsetting however.  I took her to the Old Country Buffet for a take out dinner.  After we got home she mentioned that she could never have found her way here.  I didn't understand until she said this a couple times that she didn't know where she was.  I told her this was out home.  Going away apparently she got confused by leaving the area and was not aware of where she was even though she was in  the surroundings she had lived in for 5 years.  Depressing.
So unless she has a relapse I will post other things.

The popularity of the show Worlds deadliest Catch reminds me of some seafaring experiences in my past which could have ended disastrously.  Growing up in the baby boomer age our kids pretty much did their own thing.   The government did not make a lot of effort  to see that you grew up to pay your fair share of taxes.  Child restraint car seats fluoride in the water and other safety measures were still in the future. They pretty much allowed you to chart your own course. Today it may be looking at it's statue of limitations on child abuse laws after it sees this boat built in the bedroom/Robin wanted a boat and the only way to get one was to build it.  He had no money and no job of course because he was still going to either middle school or high school.  So he decided to build it in his bedroom. What you see here is the result.  Here he was using a paddle to get around with.  He later got an old 7.5 horse motor and got it to run just once that I know of.  Seven and a  half horses on this small boat is a lot of horsepower.  I guess I didn't take a still picture although I did take some film  But here we have three kids in a boat without life jackets.  Robin is pushing it around with a paddle but just a few feet out it is deep.  This is the slough going from Lake Sammash to Lake Washington here at the mouth of the lake on the left. But it turned out OK.

Take a look at Bills war. His widow created a story of his service with the 39th FA in WW2. Find it at Four years in the 3rd Inf in WW2
